BYC's Program
Structure
We offer two choir programs: BYC for 6th-8th graders, and our newest "BYC Junior" for 2nd-5th graders. We run two semesters of our programs throughout the school year; both choirs meeting concurrently, but separate by age for curriculum, instruction, and practices. Each semester will focus on building a positive community and fostering a love of singing and choral music. On a typical day, we will do some community-building exercises and develop vocal technique through warm-ups, ear training exercises, and learning literature.
We choose a wide range of literature encompassing many styles of music so that students can develop musical appreciation, expand their knowledge of music, and explore other cultures.
At the end of the semester, we hold an evening concert at a performance venue open to the community!

Cost per student is $150 per semester (Fall and Spring, approx 13 practice sessions each)

Additional fee of $20 for a t-shirt to wear during performances. Shirts are yours to keep and can be worn for all concerts (until your student grows and you need to order a bigger one :) )

Payment is due by the first day of the semester

We accept cash, Venmo (@BYChoir), and checks (payable to Bellingham Youth Choir)
